As we all know today is remembered by millions for the suffering and loss and in 2011 when I did my cross country journey I was honored to be able to visit Ground Zero!!!!!
It was just a beautiful sunny and warm morning and I said goodbye to my hostess Sarah and was on the road by 8.15 am today was going to be a waterfall day…..the mountains this morning
So I left Banff NP passed briefly through Jasper NP and then into Yoho NP where I stopped for my big hike…this was going to be around 19 km and could not have asked for a better day!!!
Twin falls was to be my destination and for a while the trail was like this by the side of the river
The first falls that came into view was called Laughing Falls and as I got closer the noise was quite astounding!!!
Taking this I could feel the spray!!!

from here the trail was rugged and uphill….I saw these mushrooms
and I picked a couple and ate them and about 5 minutes later everything was groovy and far out man!!!!!!!(Linda I am joshing!!!!)
After a steep climb I came to the tea house
The man in the white shirt was the only person I saw on the hike….
I could hear the falls and after a short walk came upon the mighty twin Falls!!!
I did have a lunch companion
I went a different route back
and it was hard walking on these glacier rocks but shortly the view was so rewarding!!!
what I meant to say was it is a shot of the reflection in the lake and I turned it upside down….I think it is cool!!!!
It was a 5 hour hike but was wonderful..back at the parking lot there was another easy trail to this fall…
Back on the road for the next stop
This is the town where I am staying tonight in an airbnb accommodation with a twist it comes with a full breakfast!!!!
A beautiful home
I got settled in and then spent a delightful 30 minutes in here…
Another great day!!!!!!!
