This weekend was the annual Dragon Boat festival in town and I went to the sea wall this afternoon to take in some of the action.
There were hundreds of people in attendance and these are some of the paddler’s shirts..
It was quite a moving experience they had a moment of silence and then about 6 dragon boats with ladies that had survived breast cancer paddled in a circle and then dropped pink carnations into the ocean.
These ladies then came to shore and the rest of the paddlers formed an archway stretching well over yards and the survivors ran through. There were so many high fives and cheers and tears…..
