Corfu - Day 4 -Monday 13th Oct

Skipped the walk this morning to do some e mails and after breakfast we were packed up and my turn to drive on our adventure to the north of the island.

I have noticed that the parts of the island we have seen so far have been very clean, no garbage around.  The roads are narrow and the traffic very light.  The tourist season is coming to a close by the end of this month but the weather is great around 78 degrees.

Some of the bells we saw on today’s drive.qqqa 011 qqqa 004 qqqa 048

Then it was up to the highest mountain on the island.qqqa 086 1000 meters and the views were quite incredible.  I didn’t know but Albania at this point is only two miles away across the ocean and you could easily see the towns and mountains there.  The Monastery at this summit was just beautiful and these pictures were taken inside , the two murals were actually on the ceiling.qqqa 095
